Purechar Whittlebricks - Box of 12
After the devastating arson attack at Whittle and Flame, they are slowly getting up and running and we are beyond delighted to now offer their precious Whittlebricks.
Matt (who apparently invented trees) and his team at Whittle and Flame just made the best Briquette in the market even better. Introducing the all new Whittlebrick and the best all natural briquette you can cook with.
The bricks are made from English Oak in Kent and cooked to charcoal perfection in the hand built retorts at Whittle and Flame, they burn for up to six hours (two hours longer than the old briquette) and just as hot. The best briquette you can buy just became even better - how is that even possible???
These smokeless, totally neutral and 100% natural purechar bricks add heat and extend the burn time for fire cooks for up to six hours in an open grill and over 24 hours on a low and slow Kamado (never use any non-natural briquettes in a Kamado - we only advocate the Whittle ones).
Most briquettes on the market are bound with glue and chemicals and we would not go near them . However, the Whittlebricks are magic – literally - and they have sooooo many uses. They take a little longer to achieve cooking temperature (20 minutes) so to ease lighting, break the bricks into 2 or 3 chunks but treat like normal lumpwood. If you need super-efficient pure heat, that’s long lasting and reliable, these are for you - but note they are a source of heat and offer next to no flavour.
Oh and perfect for fire pits too - so much heat on them tootsies!
